I have a confession to make…

I’ve successfully advertised shampoo to bald men and fancy sports cars to people who cannot afford them. I even designed an app that was hand-delivered on gold-plated engraved iPads showcasing London’s most expensive townhouses, only for said houses to be occupied just two weeks per year.

I used my powers for evil.

I did try to make amends a few times for my behaviour, like empowering the fashion industry to stop fucking-up the planet. Google loved it. So did WWF and Stella McCartney. Climate change deniers? Probably not so much.

Still want to work with me?

A LITTLE MORE ABOUT ME… OKAY, A LOT.

A confident and articulate design leader with an extensive agency and client-side background in both UX and UI/visual design. I’ve created exceptional MVPs, North Star concepts, websites and 0-to-1 apps for 15 years for the worlds’ best brands. Brands like Google, Jaguar, De Beers, Helly Hansen, HSBC, Disney, Playstation and more. And I’ve been lucky enough to collaborate with fantastic agencies like AKQA London and Gothenburg, DixonBaxi, AnalogFolk, Beyond, Digitas, Havas, Publicis Sapient, and again, more.

My strength lies in my commitment to unexpectedly good end-to-end UX and UI, ensuring that I carry learnings and design-thinking through from conception to launch. Ultimately, this is conducive to great work and promotes greater user advocacy and loyalty. Users, design team, brand — we all win.

I am as meticulous with research and ideation as I am making complex design systems and beautiful interfaces. Just like digging through a record box, sometimes the discovery is the best part.

I’m the kind of designer whom is intrigued by real-world problems and the possible ways that user-centred design thinking can solve them — mostly on behalf of the users, but also a little selfishness in the thrill of solving a complex puzzle! It’s tough work, but undeniably worthwhile.

More often than not, I am a part of stakeholder conversations and enjoy the thrill of presenting design that exceeds expectations. Alongside this, I can often be found playing the role of ‘wise old man’ and supporting younger or less-experienced designers in the organisation. I’m not actually sure how wise I am, but I’m a large bearded man, so I guess I’ve been typecast!

…a unique blend of creative strategy, conceptual thinking, and detailed UX/UI… He drove client workshops and presentations with crystal clear articulation of his thoughts.... Trust me, you won’t regret it

FUN FACT

I cycled nearly 4,500 KM with my best friend from London to Istanbul, Turkey.

We travelled through France, Belgium, Luxemburg, Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Italy, Croatia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Montenegro, Albania, North Macedonia, Greece and Turkey, for 64 days.

We camped and travelled light, carrying everything strapped to our bikes.

If I’m honest, it was a 64 day pub crawl! We called ourselves the beercyclists and documented our travels on Instagram.

HOBBIES

Mostly, these can be summed up as risk-taking in nature! Getting outdoors with my camera is my thing. I generally contract for 8 seriously-hard-working months of the year and then spend 4 months having little adventures.
